AFXShutDown is a programmable control panel that calls and executes externals programs (that you can easily setup) to perform maintenance in the hard disk, such as clean, scan, backup, repair files and defrag. You just setup the time and the tasks you want performed. The time can be a fixed hour, an elapsed number of minutes, or just right now. When maintenance starts, the screen saver is called to protect your data, the tasks are performed sequentially, and upon conclusion, the computer is shut down (or not, you choose). Do not waste any more on duty time staring at the screen while the disk is maintained. When the day is over, let AFXShutDown to tell others to get the job done for you. Option to bring the screen saver up when the maintenance starts, or when the systems calls it, or immediately.
