File and MP3 Renamer 99 lets you rename multiple file types with ease.This fully configurable program can rename files in a wide variety of ways. Special features for MP3 files can extract ID3 Tag information for use as file names, or create Tags from file names. A 'Preview' function shows you how files will be renamed before taking any action with your actual files. The program's 'Rename From List' feature creates a list of all the files in a directory, lets you modify the filenames in the list, and then renames the original files with the list versions. Another feature replaces characters from an existing file series with a different set of characters. For instance, you can replace 'serie' with 'Anna' to rename 'serie01.jpg' to 'Anna01.jpg.' You can also remove unwanted characters from a file name (for example, changing 'robert~1.jpg' to 'robert1.jpg').
