These tools are designed to be used from the command line. Except for appletviewer, these tools do not provide a graphical user interface. The Java 2 SDK includes the Java Plug-in. You can use the Java Plug-in to enable the Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator browsers to run applets based on the Java 2 platform. The Java 2 SDK is also localized for Japanese. Features of Java 2 SDK include: the Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI); Remote Method Invocation (RMI); drag-and-drop enhancements; Java sound; applet deployment enhancements; Swing enhancements; and much more.
