Powers of ten is an item of algebra that causes sometimes problems for the math students of high schools. Therefore we have developed the educational program "Powers of Ten". With this educational software the user will learn to write powers of ten as decimal numbers, how to multiply and divide powers of ten, how to multiply with the square root and how to raise a power to a power to ten. There are seven different exercises. It is also possible to play for a High Score, which will surely increase the motivation! The program is Ms-dos based, and will already work on rather "old" computers, but also in Windows 3.x and in the newest computers with Windows 95/98+, XP etc. It is suitable for high schools or elementary schools, for students aged between about 11 and 17 years, but could of course also be used at home. |
