WordBanker is a unique and fun method of helping you to learn a foreign language. Rather than bog you down with complicated grammar it deals only with building a vocabulary. Do you have trouble memorising new words or phrases ? WordBanker's "Visual Clue" method of testing means you learn without even realising it.There are many extra functions like create you own custom MP3's, record and compare your pronunciation with a native speaker, add and record your own custom words, a dictionary containing all your test words and a practice mode.. English to Portuguese or Portuguese to English. Can be used by English people learning Portuguese or Portuguese people learning English.

Approximately 1500 words or phrases in standard categories.
Each language has approximately 1500 words or phrases included with each WordBanker installation. These include only the kinds of words you are likely to use in every day conversation. Categories include verbs, food and eating out, first phrases, numbers, time etc
All words can be edited.
One of the frustrations of learning a language is that you can be sure when you learn a word, someone will use a different word for the same thing. With WordBanker you can easily change words to allow for local dialects. Option to cover the multiple choices to remove the "visual clue".
As you get more confident you may like to cover the multple choices and try and translate the word before shown the list of choices. The cover can be lifted after you press a button or after a set amount of time. Audio samples of all standard categories. The words including with your installation of WordBanker are those most used in everyday language but you might be in a situation that uses less common words. For example, if you are a nurse you might need to learn words common to nursing. With WordBanker you can create up to 3 custom categories and enter your own words to be tested on.

Don't waste time testing yourself on words you already know A dictionary containing an up to date collection of all standard and custom words in your collection. Can be adapted to test yourself on other subjects. There is nothing to stop you adapting one of the custom categories to help you pass other types of exams. For example you may have a history exam coming up. Just use one of the custom category to add questions.
